My Learner Journey Overview

Guided Learning

At SN@P, we have supported the competency assessment of clinical numeracy within Higher Education UG/PG Healthcare Programmes and Registered Healthcare Professional governance frameworks for the last 14 years. By way of ensuring assessment candidates are fully prepared for formative / summative exams, the SN@P CPD Hub has been developed throughout the 24/25 academic year and has the primary objectives of providing:

  • Higher Education UG/PG Academic staff and Students with access to clinical numeracy skill building modules, tailored to field and route specific drug calculations seen within year 1 to year 3 clinical numeracy examinations.
  • Academic staff with a reduction in workload through providing access to a modular course with the ability to assign specific activities to the 'My Learner' section of a student's registered SN@P account and use student engagement as a contribution towards guided learning hours required by regulatory bodies
  • Registered Healthcare Professionals with access to a range of field and route specific drug calculation modules which can be used to build a repository of CPD evidence to support NMC re-validation
  • All content mapped to the latest NMC standards, references to these standards are embedded throughout the CPD Hub and our clinical numeracy assessments.

For further information, please explore the SN@P CPD Hub screencast listed in this section or contact kieran@snap-ae.com to discuss how the CPD Hub can support your Academic or Clinical Governance requirements.

Testimonials

Snap has allowed us to save time on producing assessments on clinical numeracy, while still allowing the flexibility to add as many custom questions as we need. As such, our provision of medicines management assessment has become more comprehensive, with more formative assessment provided, and ultimately improved clinical competency for our students. The system is easy to navigate for admin users, and the support provided is very impressive. The team are always open to suggestions to change functionality or better suit our institution's needs. They are all very approachable and responsive to long-term planning.

King's have been using SN@P as a numeracy assessment tool for new nurses and midwives for a few years. It forms an integral part of our local drug assessment programme, ensuring our staff have the right skills and helping keep our patients safe. It is also a useful development and refresher tool for staff who need some extra support. The system is easy to navigate, adaptable to our changing needs and there's always someone on hand to help with any queries.
